Park, Birthday, Max and Nursing Cover...

We all went to the park near our house the other day. The weather here has been really nice (it's 72 degrees right now) but then a couple of days ago it snowed about 4 inches and was cold for about 36 least it's mostly warm now.

my new bike...Tom and I are excited to start going on family bike trips. There are so many cool places in Colorado to explore.

my bike seat! Tom's so thoughtful!!! :-)

I've seen some nursing covers in magazines and thought it was such a neat idea and then a friend of mine had one at my baby shower and it seemed like it was pretty simple and easy to while my mom was here, we made about 8 of them! They're anywhere from $25 to $40 bucks if you buy them from a store or online, but it only cost me about $5 bucks each to make them.

Update on life lately...

I had some pics I was going to upload but my computer doesn't seem to want to let me do it...maybe I'll find some time this weekend and I can try again. Anyway, things are well. My birthday was last Friday! I turned 28 which I keep thinking is 12 years away from when I was 16 (it really doesn't seem like that long ago!) and 12 years away from when I'll be 40!!! That just seems crazy to imagine. I just hope to make the next 12 years as good or better than the last.

Anyway, I had a great birthday. My mom was still here (for part of the day). She was here for a week and a half after we had Max and then was gone for a week and a half to Utah to visit family and to Seattle for my brother's wedding and then she came back (yeah!) to be with us for a few more days. Anyway, since she was here Tom and I got to go out to a nice birthday lunch to California Pizza Kitchen and then we drove my mom to Denver to the airport (it was sad to see her go). On the way home that evening we stopped at Costa Vida for dinner, but only stayed a few minutes before packing up our salads and getting back in the car b/c Taylor was screaming... we came home and Tom amazingly surprised me with a new bicycle for my birthday! I was so excited and I felt like a kid getting a bike for their birthday. It's so nice and I can't wait to ride it! (I'm waiting a few more days since I just gave birth and all :-) Speaking of which, Tom was very thoughtful and gave me one of those super padded extra wide seats to put on my bike which will be nice! Anyway, it was a nice, memorable birthday...

Tom has been super busy with meetings this week. Taylor woke up sick yesterday and we're trying to keep Max from getting it. Max went to the doctor yesterday and weighed 9 lbs. 3 ounces and I went to the doctor today and weighed.....ha! ha! that's information I'll keep to myself! :-) But, I'm healing up well the doctor said and she gave me permission to start jogging again! Horay! I have to go back in 3 weeks to get the final check up. Well, I guess I will try to upload the photos again...nope! Still didn't work. Oh well. I'll try again later.

Brother and Sister...

Taylor has gotten so much better with Max. I honestly think she can't remember life without him now. He is 4 weeks old today! I can't believe how fast the time goes by! This picture cracks us up because they are both smiling (Max is only ten days old in it and the following family pics) and he looks like he's in the middle of doing some sort of dance.
Our family...minus Maddie.
we were bribing Taylor to smile with smartees...smartees are our official bribary tool.
Taylor is holding her smartees and lately she makes such funny faces when we ask her to smile.
our sweet little guy.

Max gets loads of kisses from his big sister everyday!
Taylor making her funny smiley face cracks us up!
I was going to erase these two bottom pics because they're already up but for some reason the computer won't let me so I guess you can see them in sepia as well.

A few more baby pictures...

I know I should do those slideshows...but the one time I tried doing it a few days ago my computer decided to shut down after spending quite a while uploading the photos and I lost the slideshow. So, until I gather the patience to try it again I'll just upload it this quicker way. Things around here are going better and better. Taylor is behaving much better. Max is doing great and growing well. And, I'm feeling so much better! It's so nice to not be pregnant anymore-that's for sure! One funny thing though is that every night if I turn to lay on my back I always get this feeling that I shouldn't be laying on my back (like when I was still pregnant). Then I have to remind myself that it's okay now...I'm definately much more comfortable in bed and it's so nice!

It looks like he's telling a secret.

Our little package! I love when you wrap them up tight like this and they're so small!
Our cute little lady....
Our cute little man!
He's been smiling a lot...I love it. I think this pic looks like he's enjoying his daddy's piano playing...
