Update on life lately...

I had some pics I was going to upload but my computer doesn't seem to want to let me do it...maybe I'll find some time this weekend and I can try again. Anyway, things are well. My birthday was last Friday! I turned 28 which I keep thinking is 12 years away from when I was 16 (it really doesn't seem like that long ago!) and 12 years away from when I'll be 40!!! That just seems crazy to imagine. I just hope to make the next 12 years as good or better than the last.

Anyway, I had a great birthday. My mom was still here (for part of the day). She was here for a week and a half after we had Max and then was gone for a week and a half to Utah to visit family and to Seattle for my brother's wedding and then she came back (yeah!) to be with us for a few more days. Anyway, since she was here Tom and I got to go out to a nice birthday lunch to California Pizza Kitchen and then we drove my mom to Denver to the airport (it was sad to see her go). On the way home that evening we stopped at Costa Vida for dinner, but only stayed a few minutes before packing up our salads and getting back in the car b/c Taylor was screaming... we came home and Tom amazingly surprised me with a new bicycle for my birthday! I was so excited and I felt like a kid getting a bike for their birthday. It's so nice and I can't wait to ride it! (I'm waiting a few more days since I just gave birth and all :-) Speaking of which, Tom was very thoughtful and gave me one of those super padded extra wide seats to put on my bike which will be nice! Anyway, it was a nice, memorable birthday...

Tom has been super busy with meetings this week. Taylor woke up sick yesterday and we're trying to keep Max from getting it. Max went to the doctor yesterday and weighed 9 lbs. 3 ounces and I went to the doctor today and weighed.....ha! ha! that's information I'll keep to myself! :-) But, I'm healing up well the doctor said and she gave me permission to start jogging again! Horay! I have to go back in 3 weeks to get the final check up. Well, I guess I will try to upload the photos again...nope! Still didn't work. Oh well. I'll try again later.
